Service to the Far West Country.

There are a number of people who are calling for a service improvement to the current 12 trains per day with journey times of about 3 hours to 3 hours 51 minutes to and from Penzance / Plymouth. Some people are suggesting that cutting some of the stops on the services could save 1 hour to the full service time. Other people have suggested the 10 Car IEP sets to travel to Plymouth and splitting with the front 5 cars proceeding into Cornwall.  Short platforms in Cornwall and other parts of the network will require SDO (Selective Door Opening) to be in operation.
